This heartwarming and witty comedy is the English version of Gabriel Barylli’s renowned German play, Butterbrot. It has had more than 150 productions throughout German-speaking countries and is still being regularly performed. The novel, based on the play, has sold more than 300,000 copies and we look forward to sharing the play in the UK.

Stefan and Martin, have decided to share an apartment as an antidote to their bad experiences with women. It’s perfect…

One evening, they are preparing to celebrate the birthday of their friend Peter, due to arrive for dinner with his wife, Lilli. To their surprise, he arrives alone and explains they have separated due to discovering Lilli’s infidelities, which were actually in revenge of his own!

So Stefan, Martin, and Peter make a pact to live together in the perfect ‘male-only’ household. It all seems ideal – until one day, Martin meets the woman of his dreams…
